Here’s to the ultimate DOST of my life

If you have an elder brother than you would know that having a brother is one of the best things in life. So this is for you and I can see your expression as you read this.
Growing up with you was a continuous struggle between “Papa ko mat batana yar” and fighting for the TV remote. Though the war still continues, somewhere down the line, we realize how blessed we are to have each other around. Between every fight, every argument lies an indefinable bond that makes our relationship the best.
With you I went through different phases; from seeing you as a typical “Bada Bhai” to my “Dost”, it was quite a journey. But no matter the phase, you have always been someone I look up to. I cannot thank you enough for being there for me. You have influenced basically every decision of my life. And I am so proud to be your little sister, more importantly, I am so proud to have a person like you in my life. You are literally the most awesome human being I have ever met.

No matter what you are going through in life, I have never seen you give up which is one of the million things I admire about you. You have always taught me to keep trying even if it means that I end up failing. I remember when I was about to join college and you made me watch “The Pursuit of Happiness”, and at the end, you told me it is okay if you fall, as long as you get up with an aim to try harder than before. I could go on and on about the things that I have learned from you but then perhaps I would never reach the end.
While this letter doesn’t even contain half of my feelings for you, I am not sure if there is any way I could tell you how grateful I am to have you by my side. You have made me the person I am today, and I certainly hope I am making you proud because that is one of my biggest goals in life. You are my hero, my inspiration.
